This may actually be an easy fix, but honestly I have no patience or time to mess with it. I am getting an error when I try to get the unit to read cd's, whether its audio cd's or roms. The error message says "send atapi command error".

I get the bios screen on start up just fine, as seen in these pictures: http://s78.photobucket.com/albums/j85/shaun_s78/

    The unit includes:

doctor v64 unit: excellent cosmetic shape
    emulation adaptor
    connection adaptor
    128Mbit memory
    power supply
    a/v cable
    3.5in update disk
    instruction manual

Please take note that no rom cd's will be included. :fresh:

Here are some items I am interested in trading for, US versions only:

How many of your possible trades are you looking for? Would you take cash instead?

Id prefer to trade instead of selling. Id let it go for 2-3 360 games, new or used is fine as long as they are US versions and scratch free. I am open to trade offers for anything, even things I dont have listed. Just let me know what you have.

Hi, sorry to bust in on your thread but I was wondering, why do you only want the T rated version of Oblivion. I just got the game from a friend and am currnetly playing though it.

Are there diffrences in the versions of the game or what?

    Thanks!

The T rated was the original release. I have all of the CE packaging except the actual disc, so I would like to get a T rated disc to match the packaging

probably a BIOS update can fix this problem. BIOS 1.3 is very old.

Try updating the BIOS with 2.02 -here's the bios file
    http://dextrose.com/index.php?s=3&m=21&f=995#f995

And you need to hook it up with a parallel cable, and use something like Rtool to upload the BIOS to the V64.

But more likely, the IDE cable connecting the CD drive and the motherboard has come loose. Try reseating it, and checking that the CD drive is the original shipped with it. Some CD drives weren't compatible with the V64.

it's worth a try, anyway. A working v64 is worth more than a not-working one

Thanks for the help and suggestions guys, it is appreciated :icon_bigg Unfortunatly for me, I do not have a parrallel cable laying around, so I can not do a bios upgrade. I also tried to reseat the IDE cable to the cd rom drive and mobo, but still getting the same error message.

As for the cd drive being original, I believe it may be since I have seen other V64's with the same drive. Thanks again!
