Hi there...the inside of the Saturn is fine, except for the middle spinning piece. It's broken now, and I am unable to put a disc on there and have it snap into place. Does anyone know where to get replacement parts for it, or maybe how to fix it? Thank you.

Sounds like you've broken the spindle, maybe one of the ball bearing thingies has come out. A replacement isn't that easy to find now, and considering the price, you might be best off getting a cheap replacement unit.

Look on eBay, you'll often find a cheap system with no leads/pads. Even a broken one would do you, and switch the spindle (or whole assembly if its in good order).

However, there are functional ones going for little more (around $10). If you happen to be able to find one in your town, you've got a bargain!

I had someone once who lived in the next town along, about a 10 minute drive (OK that's nothing to you Americans I know!!). He happened to come down my way, so dropped it in to me at work!! I asked what he wanted to cover petrol, he said he was coming this way anyway so nothing! I believe that Saturn system cost me £10, maybe less, with some games!

Here in the UK, as someone who resells Saturns, to pick one up for under £20 including shipping would be good to me. That's about $35.

If you can get a parts system for $5 + $12 shipping or whatever it was (ripoff spares companies would probably charge $10 for the spindle anyway), then its probably worth it. If you can get a system, with cables and a coupla games, for $10 + $15 shipping, that's a bargain!

If you REALLY have your heart set on fixing your machine, send it over to me, in England, and I'll fix it for you :smt045 hehe

Can't you just lift out the spindle like with the PSX and put a new one on? I think there's a special tool for that. I badly need it since one of the ball bearings on my discman broke and I can't get it back into place :angry

How much is estimated shipping from the U.S.A. to Europe?
