Just announced today, Revolution are making a new Broken Sword game and they're looking for funding via Kickstarter. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/165500047/broken-sword-the-serpents-curse-adventure Really looking forward to this, love the Broken Sword games!
Worst thing that series ever did was go 3D, I did however like The Sleeping Dragon. Just thought it would've been better if it was 2D.
From Revolutions websites, although by console i'm pretty sure they mean XBLA and PSN rather than a physical release. Apologies for the bump, but they've reached their goal for this and now added stretch goals. I'm sort of torn on them actually, it's nice to have more content, but some of it seems like way too much money for not that much additional content? I can't understand why some of the things listed would cost THAT much money, it's the most expensive DLC ever! The most interesting (and ridiculous) of these is the $1million mark, they say if they get that they'll greenlight Beneath A Steel Sky 2. They'll never reach that mark and i think it's kind of cruel to poke fans with that promise hoping they'll pony up more cash to funnel into a Broken Sword game, if they want to make BASS2 then make another Kickstarter after this games released.
Beneath a Steel Sky 2 you say? $1 million it has to be then! ... damn, my bank account is looking pretty grim at the moment :nightmare:
In the last day of the Kickstarter now, not looking likely that it'll hit the $1million mark to greenlight BASS2 (although Charles Cecil did say in a video that doesn't mean they won't do it) but maybe possible to hit $800k which will allow them to do everything they want for Serpents Curse, they're only $50k short (they've opened a Paypal pledge page if you can't use Kickstarter which can be found HERE). They've also added a bunch of new rewards to different tiers like Beta Access, printed Design Documents, and they're going to randomly select a pledger (2 if they hit $800k) to be in the game. If you want to get in on it i'd go now before it closes, less then 18 hours to go now!
