Long story short I installed cfw on my vita and when I updated it crashed on my so I had to open it and remove the battery because it would not turn off, ended up breaking the battery connector and had to wait for a while to get a soldering iron to solder it back on. I made the mistake of not removing the memory card so i believe it some how damaged the connector, is it possible to just get a 32gb one and just solder it back on for ever an ever? if not I guess i can still just play vita games and finish them as long as the battery doesn't die on me.

Don't really play the darn thing, but hey.... I'm sure eventually something good will come out.... never play ff x so i guess that will be worth getting when the price drops.

Sell it for parts and buy a replacement, the OLED panel is worth most of the value of the system.

All you needed to do was hold the power button to force the Vita to power off....

As someone that has been around in the Vita scene for a very long time I can assure you that all the millions of times I have crashed my Vita holding the power button shuts it off
And please enough with the multi posts

EDIT: oops went into mod mode at the end there :D

    Getting defensive?
All I am trying to say is I have been messing around with the Vita for around 3 years now and I have seen a lot of crashes brought upon by lots of different things yet in every case I and others have been able to simply power it off
So its safe to assume you did something wrong or your Vita simply was faulty which IMHO I am going with the you messed up one since I have had times when I held the power button for a while yet it did not power off.

The problem usually was that I was not pressing it hard enough but whatevz I obviously cant compete with your post count that you don't care about yet are the one to point it out thus meaning one of the people behind the Vita scene knows nothing about the Vita :/
