Okay, so tried Two Top, DosPara, tsukumo and ark-pc. does anyone know of any other online BTO PC stores? basically, i want a nice upper -but not totally best of breed- PC and i simply can't get one. I can't upgrade upwards or downgrade to get the spec i want (5970 GPU with a 920 CPU) with out it being stupidly over the top. At this rate i'll have to actually go to Aki and order one and i can't be arsed dealing with real people/aki !
I've found Tsukumo online to be good... use them a lot for parts. If I want a machine pretty much working out of the box I buy from Shuttle-JP directly.
cheers, i went around Tsukumo in aki in the end after checking online, seems they have better prices in store for some reason. Probably giving it all a miss - the build i'd be happy with is into the 300k yen range and that's just insanity. I'll survive with what i have for the time being. Same build will probably be 200k in a month or twos time once the 9 cores hit and 5970s get into good production figures.
