I watch Halo 3 behind the scene on bonus DVD nearly 10 years ago, he was awesome and his work too. Seriously what the fuck?
Too bad, he really gave some life to the Halo series. Plus, tons of in-game things pointed to him, such as easter eggs, map names, other random stuff, which goes to show that many of his peers/co-workers seemed to like him. Ivory Tower was the nickname of the area he worked in at the company, & it was used as a map name which also happens to contain an easter egg to play one of his old musical pieces when standing in the right spot. Whatever reason he was let go, there is no way it was a lack of talent with his medium.
That would definitely be great, because he made amazing scores for the Halo series. I have them on CD somewhere.
Might have something to do with his politics... He's a far right wing extremist, and maybe he said or contributed to something, that Bungie doesn't want to get shit for (i.e his anti abortion rants on twitter) but we'll probably never know for sure because if there's any kind of investigation they'll just say he got RIF'd.
