I like how that discussion devolved into a "MACS RULE" "NUHUH MAQS SUX0RSZ" arguement.

I'd give parallels a shot, see if running it as a VM will get you anywhere. If its an Intel based Mac I'd strongly suggest using bootcamp to install Windows XP on a USB stick or something. I have a second harddrive in this laptop that has a hackintosh install just for the handful of times I need OSX for something.

Silence! Or else I'll force you to use a Beige G3 running 9.0 without any updates and only with the minimum amount of ram required!

I'd also suggest just installing Windows 7 or even XP via Bootcamp. It's a native install, so you have the benefits of both OS.

Might be a silly idea but have you tried using discjuggler under wine?

    I doubt Liquid CD works;

    (09.10.10) Version 2.06

New version of LiquidCD available for download ! As for Dreamcast .cdi backups, I'm afraid I don't know how to make LiquidCD burn them properly. I've tried everything, but it's still not working. Sorry !

and with the later release notes he doesnt mention that DC images work....

    edit:
Just tried burning httpd-ack-20080711.cdi, and it doesnt work.

I remember to used some times ago a app for osx named double saucer 2 that perfectly burned .cdi for the dreamcast.
Unfortunately, this version doesnt work on 10.6 The app start but the image selector button do not work.
I know there is a version 3 but it is vry hard to get.

Do you have a link? If I can find an open source version I can try and fix it.

I have double saucer 2.0, it is a ppc compiled app. It was working very good before 10.6. I could burn all the cdi in just one click and play it on dc. Something has changed in 10.6 with the dialog windows to select a file. It start after to have downloaded roseta but you cannot input the cdi file, may be it can be fixed! If you want I can upload it somewhere.
The version 3 should be universal binary but it is impossible to find...
Let me say if you are interested on the version 2.

    It is not open source

Ps: liquidcd never worked to burn dc game, never. The 2 only app that was working was double saucer (perfectly working) and toast from roxio (after cdrip, 2 cession with "key tricks" for the second one) but i think it doesnt work anymore with toast

There is also dragon burn, with this image of dc backup disc can be done, with this image you can reburn fonctional backup. It's a pity that this software cannot work with cdi image!

well its hard to say but i'll be on dcisozone.com and i will download a game and other will be able to get it to work but i can't other game i can .

though you may think this sounds absurd it has to do with the program and the quality of the dump.
