After getting broadband a couple of weeks ago, I've been getting really silly downloading anything that resembles a playable game. And also the DC Bangai-o! Only after downloading it did I find out about the screwy CDI image format that most self-booting DC games are on...

I tried CDI2TAO and CDI2Nero - both came up with weird errors and wouldn't make anything. I tired ISOBuster to convert it to cue/bin - the DC just thinks it's a 78-minute audio track. I even tried DiscJuggler itself (both 3.5 and 4.0 - in Win2k SP4), but it comes up with Visual C++ Runtime Errors when I look at its explorer thingy after loading the CDI file.

I also tried burning the ISOBuster conversion on K3d (Linux CD burner dealy), and gave the same useless piece-o-crap Nero did.

I also tried all of this with an image of the Utopia Boot CD (because it's like 25MB, not 700!), and got nowhere with that too. I was always burning at 8x or lower.

So, after downloading tonnes of shite and 5 coasters later, I'm still nowhere.

Any help? Something I'm doing wrong, or are my images just corrupted? I've never experienced BitTorrent making corrupt files before, though...

dreamcast games are best burned with alcohol 120% although i shouldn't be saying this seeing as this board doesn't take kindly to illigal copies of games.

    They're, *ahem*, BACKUPS.

  4. Backups my ass. Your stack of coasters is God telling you to just buy the goddamn game.

Silverbolt, you're a mod, you should know how this works.
