Genny? You mean Genesis, ie: Mega Drive? Nope, Burning Rangers was only released on the Saturn. I don't know why you thought it was on the Mega Drive.

The final release of Burning Rangers uses the poor Saturn cinipac video codec while the demo uses MPEG video. The MPEG is far higher quality plus the demo intro movie has some boarder around the screen and names of the developers displayed.

I know you can get good Cinipac. There are a few games that really stand out but I'm 100% sure my Burning Rangers uses MPEG. I'll have a look tonight if I get time.

 

Oh I remember this. I could ask around, I think those protos are still around.

But I doubt the current owner would let them go though.

 

Wow, I'm amazed you remember drx, that's a good few years ago. I would be honoured if you asked around. I'd definetly donate towards a proto but it would rely on others being interested too.
