Has anyone bought a 6 button controller for their MD? I'm looking at this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Black-6...US_Video_Game_Controllers&hash=item4ab850912c I'm 99% sure this is a replica made in modern times, but are these controllers any good? Does anyone have any experience buying "new" Mega Drive controllers?
yeah i had one of them, they're super cheap feeling and nasty, they work but are horrible, better off getting an official or quality 3rd party one from back in the day
To give you an idea, they feel like they are made from the same plastic as those dvd cases you get from the cheap shop.
$3 with free international shipping tells you all you need to know. These are the worst looking pads I've seen in quite some time and I'm willing to bet they wouldn't last 5 minutes of playing either.
Argh, thanks guys. Anyone selling their original? All the good looking controllers on eBay don't ship outside the US. If anyone has two working original ones, I have a Master System Converter to trade for it (no use for it since I'm using an Everdrive).
official are the best where are you based I have a spare I can sell you PAL so it has red start button
I only wanted £10 for it the postage im assuming is Netherlands, checked on Royal Mail and no Tracking or insurance is £5 and Tracked insured for £20 is £10 its up to you which postage option you want its in excellent condition (I can post a pic if you need)
I hope you were able to pick some up. The units from the original post look to be clones of the style of controller that came with the Genesis 3. I had picked up a couple originals to use for some emulation. As mentioned by others, I find them to be a bit too small in my hands and the buttons a bit crammed. The original Sega 6 button controllers like what silverfox is showing / selling are much better IMO.
