I have heard alot of stories about lost mail and such from these countries so I'm kinda worried about buying games from said places. Anyone have anything good to say about them? I live in Australia so it's outside of Europe and would hate to end up winning something like Whirlo, just to have it lost in the mail.
So any stories or help on the matter would be greatly appreciated:D

    Get it tracked, and insured.

Mainly items entering Europe go missing, or stolen. Coming out of Italy isn't so bad.

Coming out of Italy isn't an issue at all. Coming in is a big issue, as Italian customs inspect EVERYTHING that comes in from outside the EU. You'd have thought they'd implement a half decent system if they were going to look at everything, but they don't, so stuff just piles up and takes ages to get through the system or gets misplaced.

I live in the US and have a lot of experience buying from Italian sellers, even venturing directly onto the ebay Italy. No problems as of yet. I have also had good experience buying from Spanish sellers, although if memory serves me right, shipping is a bit more costly. What are you trying to buy?

I've bought and sold stuff living in the UK and now Italy - no problems at all, both just as fast.

If you're worried, get it signed for/tracked and you should be fine.

I've bought from ebay's Italy, Spain and France website several times with no issue, but I'm in UK if that makes any difference

Never had too many problems with Italy, but Buyers in Spain seemed to think making a purchase was more of a casual thing that they'd get around to paying for later, if at all.

If you're willing to buy rare stuff from spain, make sure to get a LOT of pictures.
Seems like 99% of the european retro videogames counterfeiters are spanish...

Like the other members said, the main issue there (and here) is to send something, not to receive from them. Also be aware that for some reason, at least in Italy, the post offices charge a small fortune to ship something, for an some reason. Be sure that you know the shipping price otherwise you might be unpleasantly surprised.
