I picked this up at a thrift shop on saturday for $6. At first I thought it was an old piece of 70's office phone equipment until I saw the games listed on the unit itself. So does anybody have any background on this? All I know is it was made around 1975-1977 and was sold in pretty much every country.

Pretty nice, pretty nice. No idea myself. Google tells me you've already been around asking in all the right places.

It be a generic console using the AY-3-8500, using a fairly generic layout, compare the layout of the Binatone TV Master IV (1977) with this.

The controllers are fairly generic too as they were used on many other consoles, probably some factory in Hong Kong making thousands of the things.

It's probably circa 1977 to 1978, using a prebuilt Pong board (using a AY-3-8500 (as I can see the hockey game on the side of the box) and use a case that could be easily obtained. It does look more professional and hard wearing though but it's another one of the hundreds of companies that "made" (should be more assembled) Pong consoles during the late 70s.

Thanks guys! I was surprised at how clean and undamaged it was for its age and the fact that it was in some dingy thrift shop.
