C.U.G Boxed for Super A'can and two loose carts

Hard to find games for this console, especially boxed. I'm selling the boxed C.U.G for $60. it's in good condition besides the fact it's got those stickers on the box and cart. Plus the manual's front page has little bits eaten off by moths or something if I had to wager a guess :x Buy either of the carts for $25 each.

Nice to see some Acan stuff for sale! Now if only a copy of Rebel Star would show up so that I can finally finish off that collection, I'll be a happy man.

Bramsworth, I think you need to put a price on those two carts, unless they're for-trade only.

 

Yea, it's frustrating to have every other game CIB and not even a loose copy of the last one. If you ever decide to part with yours or find a second one, I'd make a good cash offer for it.

 

I got shot of my A'can stuff a while back. I had a couple of contacts for A'can stuff in Taiwan, they never tracked it down despite my hassling

I'd have to consider it one of the rarest games around, even by Assemblergames standards. I can't imagine the A'can in general had a wide distribution (probably a lot of dead stock in warehouses at the time, who knows if any of it survived) but that one is really, truly hard to find.

 

Bummer, I wish I had known you got rid of it. I'd have been in the running for it for sure!

It does seem to be one of the top rarity titles around, across pretty much all systems. The obscurity of the system helps, but I agree it is a genuinely rare title. I have to assume it's pretty bad, like the rest of the titles. But that just makes me want it even more!

 

The systems themselves were sold off to an electronics surplus wholesaler, who sold them on for I think it was £5 for spares.

Indeed, in the US I think, but the consoles were unit-only. No games, no pads (and I'm pretty sure you can't use anything other than an A'can pad). Essentially just a curio.

As far as Rebel Star goes, I know of one guy in Taiwan that owns a copy of it, but he's not selling it anytime soon from what I can tell. But it does look like a pretty generic and crappy game. I'm still hoping there's the impossible chance that there's other games out there. I've found posts from people in China talking about having memories of another game that was a fighter. I got a shot of it in a magazine I took a pic of some time back if anyone is interested:

You'll also see another shot of Rebel Star there Plus four other unreleased games(though A Q at the top right was released on Genesis, so no big loss). But then again, going by what's been posted in this thread so far, I take it you no one cares about the unreleased stuff as much as they do finishing off their collection =p

 

As it stands there's little other reason to buy A'can. The games are dire, sitting somewhere between pirate original and crappy 16-bit commercial games.

 

I wouldn't say I'm not interested in unreleased stuff for it, more just that I'd like to finally have a full run of what's known for sure. Given a chance, I'd gladly pick up anything else I can put my hands on for it!

 

Guys, is there anything for sale for A'can now? I just bough a brand new system with only one loose cart - african monopoly, so I'm ready to buy any other game. But especilly looking for a complete vs fighting game.
