    I like how you think.

that doesn't work everywhere. if i did that, because of my countries laws, i would be the one to go to jail with a murder charge. and seriously. if someone has a weapon pointed at you and is robbing you. your not gonna be able to do anything.

on that note. the robberies for systems have started. and the riots. what idiots. the system is still gonna be there after launch

and aparently that was my first post. oh well. yo everyone

Yes, but in my country, you let them take the money and when they turn to look away you draw your pistol and say "HEY MOTHER FUCKER!" They will then turn around at which point you shoot them. That way when the officials examine the corpse, they know you shot them when facing you. Hopefully they will still be holding their weapon in their hand. This would help conseal your revenge. For whatever reason, not even in this country is it legal to shoot a fleeing robber. However it is legal to shoot a fleeing murderer.

Anyway, you're right about how retarded this all is. It's a fucking game console. It's not the fucking holy grail. Why are people shooting eachother and shit over a 500$ or 600$ item? That doesn't even make sense. Wouldn't you be killing eachother or whatever for cars atleast. But basically they are killing eachother over a fucking TOY.

Let me guess, you live in the Sates? You aren't living in a movie world you know. two wrongs don't make a right. Someone takes your cash so you take their life? Call me odd but I'd hate to live by your standards.

Funny thing is that not all bullet wounds result in instant death. Don't go all holier than thou on us for using our second amendment rights to protect ourselves.
We live in acountry where it is perfectly fine to own firearms as long as you abide by the strictly placed policies and laws.

I for one would want the ability to stop someone from coming into my house in the night and robbing/killing me.
And although life is not a hollywood movie, with the right training one can actually fight off an assailant. As opposed to laying back and taking it in the ass.

oh come on children, let's all play nicely together now. We were all brought up by different cultures and laws, in different countries, and no single answer is the correct one - only the one that floats one boat. If you do happen to shoot anyone and you re rich, call me though =)

I agree Barc0de. I don't think that America is the greatest country on earth and I'm no nationalist. But when I live on a given country I have no problem living by and abiding by the laws. America allows guns and I don't think we should be looked down upon because of it.

Please don't turn this into another "my country" versus "your country" thread. Or a gun rights thread.

Yeah I don't think any of us really want to argue about all this crap anyway. Like I said earlier, you do what's lawful in your country and I do what's lawful in mine. None of us is better than the other for having done so. End of story.

I know you had no way of knowing, but I wasn't being dead serious. ;) Although actually, I don't see what's wrong with what I said other than the potential for abuse. When you have 2 people and one kills the other, the dead guy can't say much. So all you have to go by is like I said. You say they attacked you and you shot them. They will see the body was shot in the front and not the back. That's where the potential for abuse can come in, or it backfiring on you. If the guy dead has a criminal record, then it's easy to believe that when they were killed they were commiting a crime. Ofcourse you also have to worry about planting a weapon on them if you are trying to abuse this potential thing.

Anyways, like I said I think if someone actually holds you hostage with a weapon and demands your money or something, you have every right to kill them in the immediate time frame. Obviously if you see them later on, that doesn't really work. But right after they do it, they chose to commit a violent crime, and death is a suitable and fair punishment.

MottZilla, I dont know about there, but you must have a hell of a good way to explain a murder , because by default since you had the intent and you had the gun.. the onus is on you to prove that you murdered the guy in a reasonable defence situation. At least here in the UK, self defence has various degrees, and proving you *had* to kill or be killed is kind of difficult (more like impossible in many cases)
