can a modded GC read CD-Rs?

Can a modded Gamecube (with ViperGC) read burned mini-CD-R (not mini-DVD-R)?

I need to burn the GBPlayer startup disc and i don't want to waste a mini-DVD-R for that because the trimmed iso is so small..

if the mod is done correctly AND the image is PURE 1/1 NON-scrubbed (1.35g gcm/iso) with a perfect disk write, you'll NOT go wrong!
use IMGBURN for best results!

mini-dvd, not any form of cdr!
find a clean dump of the starter disk, i uploaded a clean dump of mine at 'the iso zone' game boy player startup disk (PAL) but if you require an NTSC-U/J version, they maybe one there too, but i've NOT even looked back for a couple of yearrs...

there's NO way to fit a 1.35g gcm/iso onto a 'mini cdr' ERGO, NO CHANCE!

 

but gamecube isos can be trimmed!
some can fit a 230MB mini-CD-R (like the GBplayer startup disc)

 

but but but...
consider the MEDIUM!
it's a totally different type, and also a modded NGC for backup disk playback has to read 1/1 mirrors/copies!
you can use that scrubbed thing on SD-loader/AR max (via SD-gecko sd card readers for NGC mc sockets)
but you can figure out on how to achieve that!
