Within the next 2 weeks or so I'm going to mod one so I'll let you know.

Are you going to be replacing it with some better buttons? I've also got one, I reckon it would be a cool modding project.

Probably not. It depends on what the setup is. I'll prob ably try to tact switch mod the buttons instead of putting in normal arcade stick buttons, since that would require a lot of drilling and the case probably isn't deep enough. Unless it's more like the Hori T5 stick with the buttons soldered onto a board, but if it's more like Mayflash sticks then the buttons are carbon contacts and springs. The stick I'm not sure, depends on how shallow it is. I might just get some short hollow shafts if it's JLF compatible but who knows. I haven't seen the inside of one yet, lol!

Neither the stick nor buttons in those are replaceable.

Mine should arrive soon. I'll post about it when I get the chance.

Ok, so I got my stick today. I'll make a new thread with a break down and mods when I get a chance. This thing can definitely be worked on.

I got two models in recently. One model is made in Thailand and the other is made in Japan. The Japanese one is a little superior cosmetically, but the Thailand one came with better switches. Japanese had Zippy switches, Thailand had Omron. Japanese one had a slightly better spring and the Thailand one might as well not have one since it's a floppy and much too loose spring.

The shaft of the lever isn't a standard lever width so most shaft covers are too wide and won't fit. You can fit any ball top on it that you want since it uses the Japanese standard of 6 mm threads. This means any ball top made by Sanwa or Seimitsu including bat tops with 6 mm adapters.

The lever is the same thing that goes into the NeoGeo AES home stick.

There are a few tweaks required to make the joystick useful and it requires a JLF washer and a Seimitsu LS-56 spring and spring hat.

I'll post more later. One of the cases I'm going to do a major overhaul on, and the Japanese one I'm going to leave pretty close to stock. Once those are done I'll post up some pics.
