I have a ps3 slim where the eject button doesn't work. You can eject the disc still from the dash. I took the power/eject piece out (DSW-001) and there was corrosion on some parts. I cleaned with a toothbrush and alcohol. After cleaning I took a closer look; one of the legs on this part has been totally eaten up. Anybody know what this part is?

That's probably a dual NPN transistor.

However, eject button simply connects eject PIN to Ground when pressed to eject disc. So if eject button isn't working most likely the issue is either the button itself or the FFC cable / connector.

Thanks for the info. It seems a via wasn't making a connection across to the other side of the board. I just used some simple 28 awg wire from one side to the other and success!

Thanks for the link it was a big help.
