But the reason I'm asking this was because, i was curious if you can load this adapter to the computer via USB connection instead of having to fish out for the official ones (which are very very expensive) and easily able to install Free MCboot using the PC installation instead.
You can use any memory card for PS2. If it's not a memory card (like a USB to memory card convertor) or if you're trying to install it on a PS3 that's backwards compatible, it won't work.
oh okay, i was actually buying it for a friend of mines who has only a PS2 Slim and he wanted to try out Free MCboot. So the only possible & quicker way of installing it was to do the PC installer method via v1.93 noobie package
