Can I use a DTL-H10030 kit as a retail HDD/BB Unit with an SCPH-10000 PS2?

I managed to find two brand new DTL-H10030 kits, gonna keep one for myself, and sell one on.

I have both HDD Utility Disc 1.0 and BB Navigator 0.32. No reason why the DTL-H10030 kit wouldn't act as a retail HDD/BB Unit with a retail PS2 following installation with either of the discs right?

Also if I sell a DTL-H10030 kit to somebody can I format the HDD using my discs, my PS2, and a memory card they'll supply me and then send it onto them and it'll work with their SCPH-15000? I'm loathe to send my discs out you see.

Any help appreciated.

 

The dtl-h10030 works fine on a retail unit with both discs, it's even stated in some dev docs that the hdd must be formated on a retail unit before connecting the hdd to the T10k...
Most probably yes, unless I forgot something...
