I'd like to rent some movies, but I don't know what I should get. To get a better understanding of my taste in movies, I really enjoyed Fight Club, Se7en, Matrix, etc...

A few recent ones I've enjoyed were Batman Begins, Equilibrium (actually not so recent), and Serenity. I don't know how you would like Serenity if you never watched Firefly.

Based on your taste of directors: "The Game" and "Alien 3", by David Fincher (who directed Fight Club and Se7en).
Existenz is also prety good, but hard to find. Don't know who the director is on that one. Pi, I've been told, is very good, but I've never seen it.

There's "Tesis", by Alejandro Amenabar, but it's Spanish. "Hable con Ella (Talk to Her)" by Pedro Almodovar is pretty awesome. Amores Perros is one of the few good mexican movies (And the only one I'll recommend, frankly). Get "Women on the verge of a nervous breakdown", by Almodovar if you're in for good comedy.
Almodovar is the best director from Spain, actually.

And if you want to see what the guy who directed two of the Harry Potter films made when he was still an alternative mexican filmmaker, get "Sólo con tu Pareja" (with your partner only... no idea if it's available translated, though)

I just saw The Devil's rejects yesterday, the most fucked up movie ever! It's the sequel to House of 1000 Corpses, (basically a remake of the Texas Chainsaw massacre.) If you like crazy ass horror movies check them both out.

Existenz is good, kinda like the Matrix without the karate. Lots of scenes of people eating mutated amphibians, a guy gets shot in the face, not bad.

Check out a movie called Tetsuo: the Iron man. It's in black and white. There's like 8 lines of dialog, which is in Japanese. A guy's dick turns into a power drill. The best movie ever.

Equilibrum is a good little movie with good ideas (but theres lots of resemblances with a popular book...) i also suggest 12 monkeys, Kill Bill 1 and 2, Sphere, Minority Report,... Also consider: ScarFace (you need to see that one at least once, so classic (gta: Vice City was based around this for sure)), Shindler's list, Brothers in Arms, The green line, Batman begins (i never really liked batman, but this one rocked hard),

Oh man, im forgeting lots of classics, im sure. Anyway, will post again if i remember some.
