Stupid question, I know. I see that in their filesystems they have xbdm.xex. I don't have one to test it on but I've always been curious. Do these consoles connect via neighborhood just as any other devkit would?
It all depends on how early the recovery is on that XeDK. Someone i know has been able to test a 16XX beta recovery (which is ridiculously early), and was able to see how incomplete it was. The console has no icon in Neighborhood and doesn't display whether its on or off. HDD Partitions can still be explored however. xdevkit.dll does not seem to work on these kits unless you are running an early pre-release version of the SDK itself. Any attempts at screenshotting or poking system memory on an XeDK with the latest SDK will do nothing at all. 1838 beta xenons are likely just as early.
while were on the topic of xedk's and temp, i dont mean to hijack your thread just curious about the abilities of xedk. can they also boot from disc ?
