Let's say one of their direct concurent is offering an mp3 player at 249.99$ when they are offering it at 299.99$, if you bring a proof of it, would bestbuy ( i don't know their policy on that) make you a rabate to even the difference ? I know it cost nothing to try, so i will anyway, but i'm just wondering if it ever worked for any of you, or anyone you know. One could say that you should just take the 249.99$ bargain, but i got a 230$ gift card at best buy.
Best Buy does price match but the competing store actually has to have the same item in stock and I don't think sales count (it has to be thier normal price). Also if they are feeling like real a**es they sometimes only count other "big box" stores as "competitors".
what about their competitor pricing a creative vison:m 30gb-pink for 229.99, but all other colors at 299.99 with rabate of 50 bucks? At Bestbuy it's 299.99 for any, could i just print the pink one and get a rabate at bestbuy for a black or white one, or they'd go ''it's not the same color!1!!1'' ?
You can try, a lot of the time it's luck of the draw with who you talk to...some people are cool some aren't.
if they disagree, talk to the manager. They cave alot of the time because the customer is always right
This is really odd, but there is quite a market for gift cards on Ebay. I myself sold a bunch of Best Buy gift cards on there since Best Buy's prices suck for lots of things, and I got -really close- to their actual value for them... search for them on Ebay and see what they are selling for.
(just saw it was in the wrong forum) So i go there today, well, at their concurent' store, just to see if they do have the product in stock in case they call or something. they got it. So, i'm like, ''yeah, but i need a proof'' in my head. So i check in the advertising print they got at the entrance, but it's not there. So here's the funny twist, an employee acost me and i'm like ''fuck, gotta find something quick to somehow get a print of the price without going with the straight ''i'm going to buy this elsewhere, i just need a proof of the price'' before that conversation goes too far. A second later, i tell him, invented on the spot, that i got this same mp3 player that got stolen, and i need a price proof for inssurences and all this shit but i don't know deep into it in case i make a mistake. But the guy takes in pretty easily and i'm trying to hide my smile. He get back with a copy of the print and i thank him. Long story short, get to best buy, i fear the guy may not accept it because there's a limit date on the print and it's clearly written, and i read they wouldn't allow price matching if it was a limited offer of any sort (unit or time). Go there, the guy don't even ask a proof or even call and i get the rabate. Vision:M 30gb real total cost (with the gift card i got from my broken mp3 player): 14.99$
