    Hey Guys

I'm putting the finishing touches on a video uploading website. I need some people to test it out for me to make sure it's working properly. If you have an extra video or two and don't mind helping me out, the site is at:

    http://www.mytrailertube.com/

    Please....no porn or anything bad...heh.

    Thanks,
    Eric

Uploaded some commercials..you might want to take a look at the email confirmation system. Got 2 emails and neither worked. Clicked for another and that one worked.

It won't load for me.... keeps refreshing.

*EDIT* Works in FireFox. Why won't it work in IE? Curious!

Now, I know I'm using IE8 Beta RC1, but I've tried compatability mode and it still won't work. Anyone on 7 got the same problem?

Thanks Segafreak....but your videos are showing as black screens on my PC. So is another one that another user loaded up...hmmm....

I'll have to check on the email confirmation as well.

    Thanks!

It doesn't load up on IE on my Dell with XP, but works fine on IE with my Vista machine and works fine on IE with my buddy's PC. I'm using IE8 on my Dell XP machine...hmmm...

    So, only trailers are allowed?

Hmm, I thought the black screens were a problem with my PC..strange. They do show the correct thumbnail and the audio works. These are the same videos I uploaded to Youtube so they should be fine (they play fine as local files as well).

I have problems with IE as well regarding videos streamed from my site. IE is a mess. Apparently the videos will work with IE under Vista but not XP. Fire Fox will work flawlessly though.

    Using Chrome, works perfect.
Have yet to register, but amazed by the quality of the uploads, the ui, and the customization. Do you want it for trailers only, as I'd love to use this as a portal for media of my own.

    Great work. :)

EDIT: A minor suggestion, it could be an idea to make the video pretty much on your screen when you select it. As in, not having to scroll down. Once again, minor suggestion.

It looks like everyone is getting black screen for the 3 SEGA videos. I just did a system check and it said the XVID plugin was missing....that's probably the problem. Up until now just about everything I uploaded was .MOV.

I'm going to have to sort out the Internet Explorer problem....fun fun fun.

Yeah, the site will be for trailers only. But for now you can upload anything you want just because I'm testing.

The uploads look pretty good overall depending on the source file. The converter uses H.264....pretty cool. The player was a $100 add-on that I had to go for....

    Laters,
    Eric

Ouch! Why would you shell out money when there are free alternatives? The whole video site thing is a costly business due to bandwidth. You can't really compete with Youtube, and you'll find that if you're going for trailers, they're all on Youtube anyway. Why duplicate Youtube? It would be cheaper to embed their videos.

The IE problem seems to be IE8. It is in beta and sucks anyway. That said, it'll be released soon enough, I guess. Maybe you can talk to Microsoft about it?

    Hey Guys

Are you seeing any ads on the main page? There should be one right under the thumb carousel, and another on the right about halfway down. I can see them in Chrome....nothing in Firefox....and IE still freezes....

    Thanks

It was still refreshing for me. Took IE8 out of compatability view, works fine now

I see a banner ad below the swirly thing for Virgin Media. Localized, huh? Nice!

I see a minor layout problem, though. Again, it could be IE8. Near the bottom there's tabs - Featured - Top Rated - Most Viewed. The top pic and title in that section are crammed right up against the menu buttons, which doesn't look right.
