Yes, it works natively in windows 7, though requires a driver download under XP for full compatibility.
Indeed, a lot of games will detect the pad and automatically map the joypad out even showing buttons to press on tutorials, you'll believe you're playing an xbox 360.
keep in mind that it's only wired controllers, a wireless with the play and charge kit does not work.
Depends on the pad my laptop didn't recognize the MadCatz 6 button SF IV pads But did recognize the wireless dongle.
Don't confuse matters. The official USB charge cable cannot be used to connect the wireless 360 pad to a PC.
It wasn't the charge thingy it was the thing that you attach to you PC to use wireless 360 pads on it
Hello everyone, Karsten, yes you can hook a xbox 360 wired controller to a PC, as you already now probably. It is great, I am planning on playing a game for the PC using a xbox 360 wired controller. Bye. :cur_sonic: :luigi:
He joined less than a week ago, and has been bumping a ton of threads that already have answers. It was really annoying the other day when I saw 5 or 6 threads in a row that had last posts by him, but were old.
I think of it as great comedy. He writes so neutral and polite, it's like he spends all his effort on not come up with something thoughtworthy or cross anyone.
Yep, that's true. Unfortunately that's not true of Windows. Microsoft also makes a wireless USB receiver for PC which lets you use wireless 360 controllers in Windows. It works pretty well.
I want to be a gravedigger too! For future reference: winxp driver: xbcd (http://www.redcl0ud.com/xbcd.html) osx driver: tattiebogle (http://tattiebogle.net/index.php/ProjectRoot/Xbox360Controller)
just FYI if you try to play Splitscreen on Left 4 Dead 2 with an xbox 360 controller for player 2 on Windows 7 you NEED to download microsoft's 360Accessories installer in order for you to be able to change the controller to 2nd Player when loading maps. Weird I know, but tis how it works. You can let windows 7 natively install drivers and that will work for 99% of everything but Left 4 Dead 2 splitscreen offline Co-Op
You can use PS3 over bluetooth with Motionjoy but it's practically a nightmare getting it to run well at all. Not to mention uninstalling it.
Yeah, I've had no joy (forgive the pun) using MotionInJoy via Bluetooth, but it does work very well when tethered via USB. http://www.motioninjoy.com/
