I've seen some propeller arena ebay bids cancelled thanks to members of this forum. This guy is selling half-life, propeller arena and beats of rage copies, but ebay didn't answered to my warnings to close this bids:

Any help would be appreciated ;)

By the way, what's the best way to denounce sales of pirate games in ebay? It seems client attention is not very good with this things... :(

LOL I like his style, freebies are good;)

Doesnt bother me, i'd like the game but my internet connection sucks. For some he provides a service.

Doesnt make it right, but this and selling roms is so widespread, chasing boot & rom sellers is a thankless task.

  5. On a less irritated note, I've noticed several things:

If more than one person reports a pirate auction, it usually helps spur eBay on to close things. I also send a snotty letter to the seller explaining they they are in violation of eBay rules and a money-grubbing bitch (well, usually in nicer, more sarcastic and less blunt terms). And finally, one of the best things to do is send a message to the high bidder. Explain that the seller is selling pirated software that they didn't pay a dime for, and if they really want the game, offer to help the bidder get a copy of the game for the same price the seller did. This could result in you having to teach someone bittorrrent or physically mail them a cd, as I have had to do a few times, but I find that far better than allowing people to sell unreleased games over eBay. Just my two cents, but when I do things like this, it usually works.

Also, Basely, shame on you! :smt019 Regardless of their stance on roms, emulation, and unreleased games, most people consider the selling of these things to be rightly a black area. If you really want PA or Half-Life, why not PM someone on the board? I'm sure someone would send you the game for free or the cost of shipping or something. :smt023 But buying on eBay just encourages those pirates... :smt011

Ebay sucks shit -- there's no two ways about it.

Did I tell you guys I got my account frozen for 6 months b/c I stated in some auctions, "you have to have a Japanese or system modded to allow the play of imports to play this game -- I don't sell them, nor no where to buy them so please don't ask."

Yet, selling stuff that's clearly copyright infringing is okay so long as Ebay gets thiers.
