I was thinking of picking up a PSX now that I have a soldering iron and pic programmer, I figured I could try my hand at modding it. Should be cake for me now. My Google-fu brought me here. I was born into the Golden Age of video games, lived through the demise of the arcades, but find it tough sometimes to get into the games of today. Sometimes my mind wanders to some of the worlds I have visited in video games, but forget the game that brought me to that place. I see many here probably have the same whimsical thoughts. I recently bought a whole bunch of arcade machines. Going to take some time to get them going. I will sell them off and keep just the ones I want. Along the way, I hope to contribute and learn here.
That's how I started, be careful soon you'll have a YouTube channel to neglect because you are doing things like this instead... Oh and welcome to the team! Definitely do that mod though, PS1s are fun to work on
Welcome dude. I think it's awesome you're fixing arcade machines, I've always wanted to own one. Unfortunately, I live in an area where anything cool or rare is just non existent it seems. Look forward to seeing your projects!
Welp, I have 22 or so cabs. Won't even be keeping half of them. I picked up Capcom Big Blue last week. I think I am going to pick up another one in a week or so. I plan on having 4 NAOMI systems, 1 system with a Dreamcast hooked up to it, 1 HyperSpin/MAME cabinet, a cabinet for light gun JAMMA games, a CPS2 multi cab, an ST-V multi cab. Keep you all posted as I go. Lots of work.
