I've needed to build a cantenna, the question is how critical is it to ground the can? Most people buy a connector for the can but I've made my own. The core antenna is already grounded, I just am debating as to ground the can as well or not. I have a can with a grounded antenna mounted inside it, the only bit not gounded is the can. K:typin:
I guess it all depends on where you will be mounting it. If it is prone to lightning or even just static build up, you might want to ground it.
