    Good day folks!
Branching out away from Sega gear, I've found myself in a puddle of SNES units.
Just need some help decoding these capacitor values.
I've had a look on Console5 here and it looks like the top value is the capacitance.
Does anyone know what the naming structure was here for the unknown manufacturer without guessing?
All my photos so far are over on Google in high resolution for viewing pleasure.
Any assistance is appreciated as always :tranquillity:

    And here's the values off my PAL SNSP02 board;
    C63 33uF 25V
    C64 33uF 25V
    C61 10uF 50V
    C59 10uF 25V
    C60 10uF 50V
    C65 10uF 50V
    C66 10uF 50V
    C73 47uF 16V
    C62 2.2uF 50V
    C67 2200uF 25V Giant Electrolytic Radial (2.5cm x 1.0cm)

The two on the lower left are 33 uF caps rated for 25V and the rest are 10 uF rated for 50V (except for C59 which is rated for 25V). Voltage isn't too important as long you stay over 5V so you can safely substitute those for 16V-rated caps.

Excellent, thanks for the confirmation! Ordering a bunch of capacitors now! :tranquillity:
Why can't they just label SMD electrolytic caps as nicely as they do radial electrolytic caps? :livid:

Let us know how you go. I have had to replace the caps in a SNES before and may do some more....

More corrosion was found on this board, but the cap repair was done successfully.
Well... I mean it was no worse off than it was to begin with... :friendly_wink:
Interestingly the 1Chip with no sound, still has no sound after a recap - it too had leaked caps though.
Back to the drawing board I go! :biggrin-new:

Edit: Board repaired! See here for more!
