I've got two of the SNES version of this.

I'm curious whether anyone has the MD/Genesis version.

The plug on the stick (the cord is detachable, for those who don't know) has 14 pins. I have wondered whether the circuitry inside is different between the SNES/SFC and MD/GS versions, or if they just used different pins for the different platforms (hell, I'm not positive if there even are enough pins in the first place).

There's also a spot on the board for a 15-pin port (like VGA) but I also am not sure if that is for the wireless attachment or what.

Definitely different circuitry for the button encoder. I THINK it's integrated into the unit, but it *could* be part of the extension. With the wireless add on and multiple versions, and never owning a MD one, it's a little confusing.

    It's for Famicom.

Yeah, I wasn't aware of how awkward the MD connection was until a few days ago.

It has a capcom IC inside with (going off memory as I don't have it next to me) probably 3X-40 (or more) pins, I wish I could see a pinout of it...
