Neat. do we have a list of confirmed releases?

I remember the Street Fighter Zero Changer rom was one of the first arcade roms i played way back on the excellent Callus emulator.

Any clue if any of the CPS Changer games actually used QSound? Afterall SFZ had it replaced with old school CPS1 sound.

Ofcourse you want one, it's in the Rare & Obscure category. ;) For awhile I really wanted one. Then I built a Supergun and didn't much care anymore. Same thing for the NeoGeo AES. They are cool and would be nice items to have. But it's just not worth it to buy them other than as collectors pieces. From the gaming point of view they are on the pricey side.

Excellent Question (and one I'd never considered!)! I guess it would be displayed during the bootup, like in other QSound enabled games? Maybe someone can fire some of those games one up in Callus and let us know :icon_bigg

Are the CPS Changer roms all dumped? As far as I know the only CPS Changer game that was dumped was SFZ. Punisher I know uses QSound. So having a rom dump of the Punisher CPS changer version would be interesting. That or just a video of someone that has the CPS version playing it.

AFAIK, only SFZ and Tenchi wo Kurau II are 'available'.

TwKII is CPS-Dash/Q-Sound. While the arcade version has two suicide batteries, the changer version only has the Kabuki/sound CPU battery present. One is annoying enough mind you.

Nice to read something well written about the CPS changer with facts and information and decent pictures rather then a load of fanboy nonsense with a lot of factual errors.

Is Tenchi wo Kurau II CPS Changer supported in MAME or MESS? It's a shame with how few games there are for the CPS Changer that they aren't all dumped.

It's supported by MESS. I agree it would be nice to see more of the games dumped.

Cool article, I never knew there was a FM-Towns adaptor for those Capcom sticks.

great piece of gaming history. I'd love to pick one of these up (but I doubt I'd want to pay what it costs)
