I so want this but I know any that hit Ebay will require a bottle of lube. I just pray they decide to make some available on their website. And yes it works.
Basically yes from Capcom , iam8bit and Time walk Games. I hope this is re released for people to buy maybe in a platinum cart also.
Well... bless me bagpipes! I'm surprised this is real. Makes me almost wish I still worked at a newspaper (although we probably wouldn't have gotten this anyway...)
They did a PAL version as well. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nU0WdM4gRLU&feature=c4-overview&list=UUJVdNvvuvOnthuWVQjYff2w
Wow, that's nice! Speaking of CAPCOM and iam8bit, wasn't Mega Man 9 originally considered for a Famicom/NES release before being made as a downloadable game? I can't readily recall where I read that before, but it's a nice thought.
I dont think so. These carts are limited to 150 - making a new game for the NES just wouldn't sell enough for a big company like Capcom to do it. They did make a neat presss kit with an NES cart and box though.
Ouch, this must be hard for the hardcore NES collectors.... the total library just got expanded with one hell of a limited edition! Looks awesome btw
This is going to be a NES collectors dream that's for sure. Only time will tell until someone puts one on Ebay then let the games begin.
Timewalk made the damn thing? Capcom went to bootleggers to have this game made. That boggles the mind. You think they blackmailed them?
An NES/Famicom only release definitely wouldn't make much outside of a small niche group. While surfing Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mega_Man_9#Development , I did find a little tidbit, "The developers also considered distributing the game on NES cartridges, but without technology to bridge the gap between the cartridges and current gaming hardware, the idea was scrapped." If someone could make a cart/USB hybrid that would bridge the gap between an old and new console, they deserve all my money! Getting back to Duck Tales... the more I look at the thing, the more I want it! Now I know how Gollum felt towards the one ring.
A dream or a nightmare. All those guys on youtube who show off their complete Nes collections are now missing one title. Would be interesting what the hardcore Nes people think of a 150 cart official print run Duck Tales they now have to hunt for.
To me, Capcom can take a walk with this stuff. Give people the chance to buy them, rather than allow insiders to make money.
Except that they don't. This is not an official/licensed release. It is not part of the "official" set. They can say it's in another category.
Come on guys, you KNOW Crapcom won't really release this. The NES doesn't support on-cart DLC, so they really have no reason to release it.
