So my company gave us all new cars, I got a Panda. Here is my Quick review. Make : Fiat Model : Panda 1.2 Extras : Er None. On first glance the car didn't look to bad, nice metallic silver paint no alloys but he its only the standard model. Opened the boot to put my suitcase in... ah the boot only has space for a shopping bag. Had to fold down the back seat to get my luggage in (Oh and there is not split folding seat its all or nothing). So I jump into the front seat and take ages to get comfy the foot well wasn't made for a 6 foot frame. Inside there's no extras, no air con no on board computer however you do get a cd player and a girly button. Driving it around town isn't too bad just remember to slow down round the corners as the car leans so far it really should just fall over. Now the faster roads.... just stay off them, the car is so slow it takes ages to reach 100kph there is little feed back from the steering wheel (Which is removed by girly button*) oh and if there is a truck coming in the opposite way hold it - if feels like the car will fall over! So if you like a car that gets over taken by mopeds and flaps around in the wind get a panda you wont be disappointed! * Girly button is the "City" button - it adds more power to the already light steering.
Its free so cant complain too much, just a shock to the system when in the past ive had Audi A30 2:0 TDI and Clios.
FIAT Panda...why do u guys get all the cool stuff??? ...Anything FIAT related is always two steps ahead of the competition, enjoy.
Top speeds 150 km/h (93 mph) with 1.1 L petrol engine 155 km/h (96 mph) with 1.2 L petrol engine 160 km/h (99 mph) with 1.3 L diesel engine 184 km/h (115 mph) with 1.4 L petrol engine http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fiat_Panda Bwahaha! Seems OK for a city run-around though, or for little old ladies. Here they drive massive SUVs (the USA needs to tighten its road traffic laws IMO!)
It's a city car and hence you drive it like one. It was car of the year for a good reason you get a lot for little money. It's ment for the grocery shopping and the school runs around town. And it's good at what it was ment to be used for.
...and at what speed was he driving at the time. No, REALLY, you can tell us the truth! It is a road car, it passed all safety standards. Of course, if you're going to drive it like a twat then it isn't gonna stand up to much! Fiat Panda isn't really a NEW car... it is a very old model. Of course, yours is the latest ;-) My Dad had one as a company car about 20 years ago. It was OK for what it was, but I would've rather got something like a Fiesta or 306 personally! I can only think they got some kinda good bulk deal out of Fiat!
