    I found it ;)

On another note, heres a new question: does anyone have some information on the cable that was used to connect a Mirage unit with a modified production saturn? More specifically, the cable that connects the CD Emulator port on the modified saturn to the CD Interface port on the Mirage. Is this some kind of SCSI cable, or is it custom? Also, I'm looking for information on the type of hard drive used by the Mirage units.

It is SCSI, it is very rare. Your chances of finding one are very slim. You don't need it, though!!

The Mirage used SCSI hard drives ;-)

I wish people would stop saying the files came from Antime's site. All he did was mirror the files from the Sega DTS website.

Oh, and you don't NEED an old PC, just one that'll run the software. That means it'll probably need NT or 95, but a modern PC will still do that! ;-) Likewise, you don't NEED a Mirage. It is a CD emulator, used to save money because CD-Rs were so expensive back then. They aren't now - use CD-Rs!

I do have a bunch of the old Sega DTS CD-ROMS plus all the Saturn manuals (though they are hard-copy, not electronic). If there was something specific that people were looking for, I could search through what I still have.

I was looking through the SGL source code just the other day for kicks. :icon_bigg

Hmm. I don't think I've ever heard "Saturn code" and "for fun" used in the same sentence before :110:

I think all of the Sega manuals are widely available, as are the Psy-Q and Mirage manuals. The only ones people might find a bit trickier are the CartDev ones.

There was a copy of the DTS CD doing the rounds a while back, although it isn't so widely available now, it would seem.

    Define "obscure" and "interesting"? :icon_bigg

I have all the standard dev stuff, the source to SGL wasn't readily available back when I was developing on the Saturn, so I got special authorization to get access to it. That might be interesting to some, if you are into SH2 assembly.

For Shaq-32, I did a whole sprite based engine at first, then a polygonal one first based on SGL, then later on my own stuff that would use both SH processors at once. Though not sure if I still have that on any of my archives any longer.

Plus there are the DTS CDs...

I still do have my Saturn Key disc, for booting CD-Rs.

Key disc is what Sega's internal documentation called it, yes.

This is what I was talking about:

Well, I really don't use the CD-ROM these days, did you want it for a specific use, or collecting?

I want one for the purpose it was intended for - booting burned CD-Rs.

Shoot me a PM if you're interested in selling it.

Someone who is actually going to make something for the Saturn would probably benefit more from that CD...

I'm going for cart route when I'm going to mess with Saturn so its not too much of interest for me, and I'm broke anyway :p
