Google seems to be failing me with this question.

I'm curious if there is an efficient way to determine or find out which games from the NES/SNES era actually posses a save feature on the cartridge. When I say "save feature", I do not mean games that provide a passcode to continue. I mean games that actually save the game to the cartridge.

I know that NES games with save features are very few and far between. The only ones that come to mind are Mother and Final Fantasy, but I am sure there are a few more.

SNES is a different story. Many of these posses save features, so I would imagine this list would be a lot larger and more difficult to figure out.

Does anyone know of a resource online that would contain information like this? Or does anyone happen to have such a list on hand?

I remember when i was a kid I wrote a letter to nintendo and they sent me a printed out list of games they published

that described whether or not they had batter back up(save feature).

Sadly I lost that letter. Anyway try this thread on digital press

Here is a list for Super Nintendo for you, I just searched for anything with battery backup. My limit was 1750 so if theres more than that they aren't listed and you'll need to be more specific:

Only NES game I ever played with a save feature was "Romance of the Tree Kingdoms".

Edit: Oh, that's already listed in the above link. :/
