Told everyone http://www.catherinethegame.com/ originally reported by kotaku. Anyone who has the import can tell me this is a must buy? Also anyone know if the ps3 or 360 version is better (I own both, but if they are similar I'll just go with the 360 version cause of installing and control prefrence).
Well, I finished it and I'm the only one I know of who has done. Many complain of it being too hard even on easy but that's just crap. It is hard but not impossible. Took me 13 hours in total to complete the game. I thought it was an excellent title with a very good twisted story. The problem is, without knowing Japanese you will loose an awful lot of the plot. I hope they give the US release a subtitled option because putting it in English will NOT work at all. Even if they get good voice actors it still won't be the same. Two images to prove it is possible to complete this game without being a puzzle expert. If I could do it, you can do it Yakumo
What is this game about, I've heard it mentioned alot but I don't want to google it because I don't want to hear about how the game ends or anything like that. What is it? -Disjaukifa
Hmm, the phone has something to do with it but it's not 100%. Here's a copy of a First Play thread I did for NTSC-UK.
Ok that sounds . . . . awesome! So looking forward to a US release, and I agree with what others have said, I hope we have the option of the original Japanese with subtitles, though I never see that happening . . . -Disjaukifa
Yakumo, do you want to part with your copy for reasonable price? Anyway, now I'm glad I never bothered importing it for price like 75USD because it would be cheaper to get this game after US release.
Well, I can get 5000 yen easily on Yahoo Auctions for it since I have the limited edition pre-order pack with OST and "art" book. That's about 60 USD. After adding shipping and Paypal fees you'll be looking at around 70 to 75 USD anyway. Games are not cheap in Japan unlike the US which is dirt cheap. I import all my 360 games that aren't Japanese exclusive from Hong Kong. Even after shipping the Asian games work out 15 to 20 USD cheaper than the Japanese release plus are in English and still retain the cool artworks or sometimes Asian exclusive artwork. My Mindjack cover looks better than the Japanese one and the Western one (whenever it gets a release). Yakumo
Version with pre-order bonus? Definately worth it, even with shipping which would cost about 700Y. Too bad my fiance's friend left Japan week ago . Anyway it will come out in US sooner or later and I am patient enough .
Doesn't mean anything I'm afraid. You see people bidding high on stuff all the time on Yahoo Auctions. Don't forget that outside the big cities like Tokyo there are thousands of gamers who don't have access to cool low price stores. Even where i live prices can by very high. Luckily i have a car so visiting Kyushu for game shopping is not a problem for me.
