CD based console backups without modding?

If I find any other games that fail to work with the unlock I'll add them to a list. But so far only Legend of Dragoon doesn't work because of the anti-mod code. I haven't tried it using a GameShark code to defeat that, but I assume with one the game would actually work. Unless it's doing that reset.

 

I know the FM Towns Marty has no cd protection,can play burned disc just fine.
