don't think this has been posted... Earth is doomed on 1 June 2014 at 09:15 am... maybe it's time to spend money to build the biggest long range ion/nuke/"insert your favourite" propulsion rockets... http://tv.yahoo.com/news/wwn/20050912/112653720001.html
looks like we are all going back to the stage before Big Bang... and BANG! next generation of galaxies... and probably Eath No. 2... or is it...
Well, this isn't good. If it has Cambridge scientists in a panic, then it's probably nothing to ignore. If it terminates anything in its way, then I don't think the rockets would work.
I wouldn't worry mate, if the world ended every time the "Weekly World News" reported it would, none of us would be here ;-)
My friend was talking about this a few weeks ago. I couldn't help but laugh at him . No offense to anyone who did believe this. I'm just so burned out on "OMG WE'RE GOING TO DIE IN 20XX" that even if there was a "real" doomsday, I probably wouldn't care.
Last time I checked, we were supposed to be hit by a 6mile wide metoer on may 5th 2k5. That didn't happen. THe same scientists who claimed that "imminent collision" back in 1999 forgot what they said when questioned about that again.
And there also was that Toutatis thing that could come close enough according to some people. When something is actually about to kill mankind, we won't know until it's too late.
