    Hey guys,

So i bought this broken 3ds that wouldnt turn on and wouldnt charge. So i figured it was a broken charger port and i checked the voltage on the battery and it was 2.8volts. Is there anyway i can do a quick and cheap way of charging the battery while i wait for the charging port to arrive? I just want to boot up the console see what im dealing with before the charging port comes in. Also, why doesnt it boot up with 2.8 volts? Its rated at 3.7 volts.

unless you have a lab power supply, or a way of measuring the current draw as you try to boost the battery then
I would recommend waiting. You could also pump 3.5 ~3.7 volts into the console too

iirc the 2 gold squares either side of the charging port are also charging points, used by the charging dock, you could hold the wire from a charger to them to see if you have any signs of life if you wanted to test it before you can order parts
