Yeah they have some nice deals on Play-Aisa like an import CVS2 for the GC for like $9.90 and they offered it together with the Free Loader for like $25 something total. I was really thinking about getting it although I didn't have the money and eventually the game was gone. You just have to look and the sweet deals do show up there.

    ooooh!! I want.

But first, can someone confirm if the buttons on this stick are microswitched?
I have the Sega Dreamcast Arcade stick and while I do like it a lot, I wish the buttons were microswitched like they usually are on an arcade cab. They feel kind of mushy as they are.

    Awesome!
    Looking forward to your review.
If the buttons are mushy like the DC stick, then I'll probably just seek something else out.

That is a very cool stick but I doubt I'd ever use it. I own the saturn original and Dreamcast one. Both have great sticks but the buttons are those shitty types just like control pads. So I changed the ones on my Saturn stick to nice cherry switch style buttons. click, clickity, click :p

    Oh damn.
Is this Saturn Virtua stick relatively easy to mod then? I may have a few Sanwa-style buttons and microswitches laying around. There's sometimes an issue with the available height in the enclosure in which to mount them.

That xbox stick is not made by sega, is 3rd party and i've heard is crap "has always been 29.99"

  19. Well, it sortof uses USB. The interface is USB, but in the controller connector there's an extra wire for power to the rumble motor/memory card port.

And speaking of joysticks, can anyone tell me if the Sanwa joysticks make a clicking noise like the Happ-style ones do?

I owned the original SS version of this stick and, compared with a Sawna-parts arcade controller (or even with the two-players Virtua Stick Pro, which I bought later), was poor. It's not just a problem with the stick and buttons, which, as I said, are far from the Sanwa quality, but also for the light, 'void' base where they're mounted.

More or less. The L-base Sanwa buttons are "clicky". The standard Sanwa ones aren't.
