Hey guys. Certain games (most notably Batman Arkham Asylum and THUG2 I've found) are real bitches to play with mouse and keyboard. So i'd like a cheap gamepad. I know theres wired xbox 360 ones that can be used, but I don't really want to pay too much. So in short I'd like something cheap but that isn't going to break. Oh and works with Windows 7.

    Thx, Cyantist.

i just ordered a cheap usb fight stick from ebay (postage from china) theres loads of usb game pads on there, i dont play 3rd person games on pc as they are as you say normally a pain with keyboard and mouse. maybe have a look at saitek gamepads saitek accessories are normally good quality or if you have a old xbox controller just mod the end part of the cable to USB i done that with an xbox pad and it works well you can also hack other game controllers through it.

If you have a PS3 controller lying around you could use that as well. All you need to do is install some files and then plug in the controller with a USB cable. The four lights on top of the controller flash constantly, but otherwise it works perfectly.

Generally I prefer the 360 controller for most games, but when the only choices available on hand are crappy generic PC controllers or an official DualShock 3, I'll pick the DualShock 3 every time.

A 360 controller is probably the best for PC games, since it works almost instantly, and many games natively support it. In fact, some games actually show the controls for the 360 controller.

yeah I've really gotta say spend the extra bucks and just get a 360 pad, it's a great controller for the pc, that or just get an adapater for the console of your choice
