Hey all, I've been thinking of picking up a PSP Go as the PSP was one of my favourite systems and I miss having one around. Also seeing as I don't have a TV I thought it'd be cool to hook it up to my 24" HDCP monitor. Seeing as my Mac uses the DVI port, I have a VGA port spare and would just love to "dock" the PSP Go when I'm at home. So, what's the cheapest way to convert component to VGA if at all possible, I'm not to worried about upscaling or anything fancy as long as I can still use the progressive modes offered by the XMB when converted. I saw this and it says it's bi-directional but I'm not sure if it'll work, doubly so if I drop a DVI-VGA adapter on the end. Any thoughts?
This might be best. It costs around $35 and converts component video to VGA. It even has a bonus VGA in for auxiliary devices.
You're looking for the GBS 8200. It's used a lot in N64 RGB mods to get VGA output. Supports a number of inputs, including component. $35. I haven't used it myself, but it's the low cost go-to choice. http://www.arcadespareparts.com/arc...rter/rgb_jamma_vga_converter_board/13052.html
