As we all know some NTSC motherboard revisions run PAL games in black and white. My NUS-CPU-09-1 N64 plays them in full colour. As a random guess I am thinking NUS-CPU-04 and below are colourless and its got something to do with the DAC and encoder chips not being combined.

Now I ask everyone who has an NTSC N64 to use the thread linked below to check their motherboard revision then test some random PAL game on it and report their results here.

If your serial starts between NS23 and NS25 it would be better to open your console up and check because the thread doesn't give much justice to what revision your console it is.

same machine may show in color on one tv-set, or in grayscale on another tv-set
