Usually once a year I create a snowman when the weather is perfect, and this year that happened to be today. Any thoughts or comments are appreciated
Very cool. Getting it to stand on those legs must have been a challenge ! I can't beleive you have snow though. It's still lovely and sunny here in Japan! Yakumo
very smart, liking hte legs too... the Right knee looks little unstable though! Any yellow snow anywhere?
To answer some of the comments: Standing it on those legs wasn't that hard, the snow was wet and thus very dense, the legs held up quite well. You noticed the crack in the right leg? Thats actually not from the weight of the snowman bearing downward, but backward. The thing was narrow and the wind was strong that day. About 40 seconds after I took the photo it toppled backwards. But I got the picture So I also decided to submit this photo to Hudson to see what they would think of it. I got a nice letter in response that I figure I would share:
My God....... snow! I really wished we got snow like we used to when we were kids in the Highlands of Scotland. It started early winter and kept going on until February / March (sometimes even April). There is just something about snow that brings out the inner kid in me and definately makes me smile. Cheers for that!
Now think if that was a Gears of War Snow man and you sent the photo to epic you'd have gotten a C&D letter.
For those of you who might be curious what my previous snowmen have looked like, this is the one from last winter. Please don't pass this photo around very far, I intend to use it in an article sometime in the future and would have to see it circulated very far before then
That's awesome! We never get enough snow here to do things like that. The fact that Hudson took the time to write back is cool as well.
