Never ever seen one before, they look amazing, but to say the person got rid of it that quick, it cant be that great, maybe just another fad coming. I think they just probably didnt give it a chance that its still in it's beta.

I would never buy one, not at least in this day and age and especially not at that price, unless you're specifically into collecting prototypes of this kind of technology. From what I've seen it's basically a voice command camera that sits on your face, or in other words a useless gadget made to trail run up and coming technology, such eye movement recognition and the OHMD display. As an actual product I really don't see the appeal, right now you'd be better off with a GoPro, or even a spy camera in a pair of sun glasses. It's just another way to do what we already do with our smart phones, take pictures, record videos, send messages, browse the internet, and so forth, except in an early and incomplete form. Whether the trend will catch on and people actually care a few years down the line is another thing, right now it just seems like a cool and techy promotional gadget for vloggers to get first person recordings with. Personally I'd rather wait for a pair of these in 2015.

I evaluated one of these before we binned it as a security risk. While the technology is impressive (small form-factor and all), the whole purpose is to be a walking Youtube generator. Everything on it is set to take pictures and video and it is way too easy to do so. If you ever see someone and they say they aren't filming you, don't believe them; they might not even know that they are. If you dare plug it in to charge while it is turned on, it will upload everything to the cloud. Some people might like this, but it is too much of a security risk for most companies.

I also simply don't understand why people think voice control is so important. Let me say this: it doesn't work and it isn't welcome by other people. The Glass doesn't have the capability of distinguishing different speakers, so voice control doesn't work unless EVERYONE around you shuts up.
