My PSN account was used at the weekend(19th), and money was debited from the card i have attached to the account, i rarely use it but still have one, my only PSN capable device is a PSP, they tried to take £50 and £10 luckily my bank stopped the £50 trans and my card also. so what i'll say is even if you don't use it, check your PSN account and it's security, maybe change the password etc. as when you log in you can see name address etc. Just a shout out about that n hope no-one else gets stung, it's more frustrating than anything else. i was out drinking / having fun when my card got stopped which put me in a less than ideal situation luckily i was with friends.
Found this on neogaf: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=687831 Seems like some hacks are happening on both PSN and XboxLive, related to Fifa purchases / items. Gotta love this "digital" future some companies are planning...
yeah, i like the idea of steam and gog.com etc and the digital options but the implementation and especially security needs to be vastly improved. luckily i got my money back and still have the £10 in the PSN wallet, so all in all not a bad thing. i think it would be much safer if they didnt store personal details, but then again i've had my steam accounts since the early 00's and never had a problem.
Glad you manage to fix it. I suggest you to avoid using the PSN network / store on a computer and have 2-stage verification on your e-mail.
Always use PSN cards, never link debit cards to these type of companies, their security is shit. Only company that has mine is Nintendo but I never keep any money in that account anyway
