Hi, I was reading stuffs about gdrom format, and read that some late chihiro and Naomi 2 games came in DVD-ROM. How could it be possible? Those two systems share a gdrom drive that is exactly like the dreamcast one inside. I couldn't find if they need to be read by a new attached DVD drive , only that they received a firmware upgrade (from dreamcast junkyard)

I'm pretty sure that these CD/DVD releases are for use on the servers* of satellite games, and not for use on the naomi/chihiro mainboards.

*You probably have heard about net-booting by using a windows application? Well satellite games used a windows server to push the game to the network attached mainboards.

right, mentioned CD/DVD games is satellite/network setups, Naomi2 or Chihiro units there doesn't had any disk drives at all, only server PC.

@wombat servers was either Windows based (Naomi WCCF and Chihiro Gundam) or Linux based (Chihiro Quest of D and Segokushi Taisen series)
