I need to repair a hotd3 with a failing gdrom. I am wondering if I could use netbooting as an alternative to another gdrom? If I understand things well, as long as the dimm board batteries are fine and the dimm program crc stays correct, you don't need to download the program again on every boot. I believe i will need a netboot security chip. Is ebay the only option to obtain such a chip? Anyone who could tell me which tool to use for the download of the game? Most tutorials I could find are about the naomi platform. Not much about chihiro, altough it's usually mentionned in the same breath. Could I try to locate the mame chd image of the prog, or will I need to dump the original gdrom (with a dreamcast..)
