china's an interesting place... they probably banned the sims because its portrayal of everyday life is of alot better quality than the normal every day life in china.. They probably banned Fifa, because the chinese team is rated very low.. and the vietnam games are pretty self explanatory.. This is how china is...

your remark is offensive to the chinese, don't forget china is the world emerging economic power, all of the fortune 500 companies in the world now wants to enter china.
plus seemingly all chinese immigrants at any foreign nation makes money.
no one is more superior than others, only God is.

Nobody said anything particularly offensive about Chinese people, you're being overly sensitive. The point is that their government has once again been hardcore on censorship.

Exactly. Don't say ANYONE was over offensive when they didn't even say anything.

companies (like Walmart) only enter the Chinese market to tap it's cheap as hell labor. If they can make some money also, they'll take it.

I'm sure you're comment was laced with sarcasm anyways.

because in the sims, you aren't poor as hell and farm all day to support the government until you eventually die from a flood caused by the Three Gorges Dam being built on a fault line. Also having a family is a strong point of the sims, not selling your daughters to underground sex rings.

Its good that China is entering the world market. That is one way communist countries fail. Capitalism is exploitation and we aren't exploiting the sweatshops there enough. Its amazing what lil chinese children can accomplish under harsher conditions.... a better looking Nike sneaker.

Come on guys, don't all attack the newbies :-(

I think BruneiGamer might have quickly scanned the post and just responded, some of your comments seem a bit ott.

I know this is the way most forums work but I'm sure the guy wasn't trying to offend anyone, whereas some of the humour in the rest of the thread could be offensive, but I doubt you care.

That would have come in handy in the technology gone wrong thread.

Communism is not a bad thing. China is not a communist country. It is a dictatorship that calls itself communist. There is a large difference.

All countries, even western ones, have banned something throughout history that some people might call "a stupid ban". Not to mention that all countries have laws that most people would call stupid. So let's not starting bashing a country because of that.
And I'm sure most people who are saying things about China's economy and lifestyle have never been there. Please let's stop taking everything you see on movies or documentaries as absolute truth.

Where does India stand on Earthworm Jim? Some parts of it might be sacriligious(SP?) to them.
