My girlfriend brought this website to my attention http://www.noisyt.com/productinfo.asp?id=530 They seem to have a lot of really good stuff for ridiculously good prices. that ipod classic is 100 dollars less than retail. the console prices don't scream "SCAM". And it doesn't try to shove things like "SUPER GAME JOY REAL GAME PLAYER 4 U" as a Nintendo DS. The top says it's a wholesale dealer but it allows you to place just one quantity into your cart so I'm kind of confused. Thoughts?
Some Chinese retailers can be trusted. I'm not sure of this site. I can try to ask my wife to check her message forums to see if anybody has feedback on them from within china. I know there is a lot of distrust with HK stores video games (due to bootleg gba/ds software) but there are also a good amount of legit places out there (I use one that is legit and much cheaper then play-asia).
exactly. Lik-San was china based, and I know of a lot of reliable China based retailers. This one particular I'd e interesting in some verification. Thanks for checking subbie.
Define trusted. (^_^); If your looking for legit products, I wouldn't trust many Chinese retailers at all. If your talking about "will I receive any products", sure you might. Doubt it will be legit. Case in point, these days there are a large amount of sellers with DS consoles from China in all sorts of case styles... at really cheap prices. The rub? The cases are after market, not original limited edition like you might think. The units are used, just re-conditioned and fitted with a fake limited edition case. Good if you don't care about anything, bad if your looking for legit products.
Trenton you're familiar with Chinese retailers. Do you have experience with this one? My GF is mostly worried about giving her information, and being out 200 dollars. like I said their consoles are legitimately priced, most of the things on that site are. So it doesn't look like they're marking things REALLY low to try to weasel some people. But I'm not sure.
@XxHennersXx: I've never purchased from them before, but just from looking at their website, it seems almost like something you'd find if you miss-typed a URL wrong (^_^); I definatly don't think any Chinese users use it. Most Chinese users flock to mainstream Chinese websites because they know its a legit (In terms of scams) operation. This place? No idea, but I wouldn't be supprised if you had a problem with your order and no one would help you. Take, as an example, Dealextreme which is Chinese based and for arguments sake, well known. When everything goes well, it runs smoothly. But something wrong with your order? Your left in the lurch. As an example, a friend purchased some lockpicks from them. He was left waiting with no reply for over 2 months (dispite their automated message center saying turnaround is 24-48 hours). Eventually he had to threaten with a charge back to get any service at all. And thats with a very popular site like DealExtreme. These guys? It's seems so sketchy, I wouldn't risk it. Not for a few dollars in savings anyway. I mean, what recourse would you have if something went wrong? Probably nothing. But thats just my opinion.
I would be very carefull as the web was created 19-Oct-2009 so I would say it's scam. On most of the sites you can add 1 item, but you have to buy at lease for 500 USD or 1000 USD in one order.
thanks guys. Can I get a list of mainstream chinese retailers that ship to the US? I'm interested in Famiclones/MP4 players and iPods as well.
On top of that they only accept WU and bank transfer which is the way how can't you get your money back if something happened. If they are legit they would have credit card payment or paypal.
DealExtreme is the only one I know off the top of my head that's not a scam, though service is lousy as hell when something goes bad. Most sites which sell items of that nature are usually Chinese which do not ship overseas and/or will not take PayPal (only bank of China transfer).
I ordered a replacement DS Lite screen (top) from DX. It arrived with the screen wrapped in crappy bubble wrap, put into one of those super-thin cardboard boxes. Of course, it was cracked in half. But, they have a "my shit is broken" part of the site, and you upload a picture or two of the product and they review your case and if its good (as mine was), they send you another. Certainly didn't ask for my broken one back. So I got the replacement in the mail. PACKAGED THE SAME WAY... but it arrived safely... Just makes me wonder how often they have to re-ship these things out when all they really need to do is add a tiny bit more rigidity to their packaging so they don't get snapped in half. DX is slow. Don't expect to get your package in any reasonable ammount of time. But shipping's free... The nice thing is that everything is reviewed it seems, and so you can get a decent idea of what you're getting based on what other people say about the product if you're curious (I was shopping for a flashlight late this summer, and that helped out a lot). Easy place to get flash carts and stuff...
Buygame2.com, Based out in HK (almost got to go meet them in person one time but didn't have time). I've been buying things off them for years. I've only had 1 package go missing, in which they sent me out another copy without any hassle. Games tend to be cheaper. Shipping is a little more but when you end up ordering 3+ games it shaves a crap load off the price vs play-asia.
Just so you know, Avast is saying that there is a trojan horse, probably in one of the ads if there are any on there. =\
Due to out-dated Javascript of our homepage, some Anti Virus software may detects it as a virus. We can confirm that it is not any kind of virus. It is still safe to visit shop. =) I run Norton at home and it's fine. I had a cheaper scanner in the past pick it up as a virus but it wasn't. Their site is pretty low key and not really a technical marvel like play-asia or some other import sites.
Ah all right. Thought I ought to back away from the site since I got that message so I didn't read that part. Thanks for clearing that up.
www.chinavasion.com is good for electronics/gadgets and stuff ... our I.T. department buy loads of bits from them!
