I'm sure everyone here is familiar with Chiptunes. I've found that Cynthcart sounds great for the C64. And the same person created Synthcart for the 2600. MidiNES looks good too. I was wondering however, is it possible to connect keyboards to these? I was thinking about a C64, C128, synthcart and MidiNES. MidiNES says I connect it to a sequencer, Freezepop uses the Yamaha qy70. What exactaly would I need to set this up?
sure. If a mod could do that, sure. I just figured since it involves the use of video game equipment.
Why not use an Atari ST also? It's very chippy sounding Just a couple of days ago a new version of maxYMiser was released, changing it's name to maxYMiser Live and has alot of midi features... just check the following three "Documercial" movies at Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2QSAShwkmGg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jmnoRQyWvJQ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XNo5y2OAli8 Here is the maxYMiser homepage: http://www.preromanbritain.com/maxymiser
Ly-Colizer: I think it is because he likes the SID chip sound. And quite a few chippers prefer the SID chip sound in their tunes. Compared to the Atari ST.
yes. The hardware I'm using I enjoy quite a bit. I've never used an Atari ST. The Atari 2600 makes a REALLY cool drum machine. I might use the Gameboy.
Sir, try to search for SID things via google, I seem to remember there are ways with midi and SID sound and other cool stuff. http://www.hardsid.com/modules.php?name=Content&pa=showpage&pid=14
